Museum extends Vatican run

From the writers of OnMilwaukee.com, due to increased attendance, the Milwaukee Public Museum has announced that the "Saint Peter and the Vatican: The Legacy of the Popes" exhibition will be extended through May 29th. This exhibit has been a huge success story for the financially troubled museum. Milwaukee marks the exhibit's only stop in the Midwest before returning to Vatican City. Tickets for the exhibition are $18.50 for adults, $17.50 for seniors and $11.50 for children 3-15. Call (414) 278-2728. Gallery Night & Day: April 21-22, 2006
Presented by the East Town and Historic Third Ward Associations

Gallery Night is now Gallery Night & Day. The 15-year old event has grown into the premiere art event in Milwaukee. Gallery Night & Day is a two-day event spanning Friday evening and Saturday. This quarterly event has over 50 venues - located throughout downtown Milwaukee. The Historic Third Ward parking structures will offer free parking during the event. In addition, enjoy a free shuttle ride on the Gallery Night Xpress on Friday night. This shuttle will stop at various points in the Third Ward, East Town, and the Milwaukee Art Museum. The 20-passenger bus will make a continuous loop from 5 to 9pm with stops every 15 minutes. The Milwaukee Art Museum doors open at 5:15pm where admission is free.
