The Business Journal of Milwaukee: Downtown condos: If you build them, they will come - Urban condo sales maintaining brisk pace

Soft market? Bursting bubble? Developers and real estate broker don't agree. Condominium sales continue to keep pace with the number of units being developed in Milwaukee's downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods. Developers and brokers say sales are going well and report steady interest from buyers.

Downtown remains a hot market because buyers like the idea of living close to work and entertainment venues. The lifestyle of a condominium appeals to buyers because they can escape the maintenance that comes with owning a home. There is no such thing as a typical buyer in this market. Young professionals and baby boomers are calling downtown home.

Rachel McCormick-Jennings of The Business Journal of Milwaukee highlights several condominium developments covering all price points: The Sterling (New Land Enterprises), City Green (New Land Enterprises), The Flatiron (Legacy Real Estate Development), and Cambridge River North (Cassidy Realty).
