Milwaukee Business Journal: $125 million 'urban village' slated

Lighthouse Development Company, LLC has proposed to convert the Transpak Corporation's shipping facility, comprised of nine buildings, located on East Pittsburgh Street in the Historic Fifth Ward, into an office and retail complex. Lighthouse plans to redevelop this site beginning in October 2006. In addition to retail and office space, the site will also include restaurants, entertainment venues, apartments, and condominiums. Several real estate experts predict that the Fifth Ward will see the biggest change in the coming months.
